‘Birdman’ obtiene nueve nominaciones al Oscar
Alejandro González Iñárritu aspira directamente a tres estatuillas en las categorías de Mejor Película, Mejor Director y Mejor Guión Original
En las categorías técnicas Birdman es postulada en Edición de Sonido (Martín Hernández) y Mezcla de Sonido, mientras que en artísticas aparece por Mejor Actor de Reparto (Edward Norton), Mejor Actriz de Reparto (Emma Stone) y Mejor Fotografía (Emmanuel Lubezki), Mejor Guión Original, Mejor Director, Mejor Actor (Michael Keaton) y Mejor Película.
Con la revelación de las 24 candidaturas de los premios de la Academia de Hollywood, González Iñárritu, con Birdman, compite directamente en tres rubros, Mejor Película (como productor), Mejor Director y Mejor Guión Original, en éste último junto con los coescritores argentinos Nicolás Giacobone, Armando Bo y el estadunidense Alexander Dinelaris.
LOS RIVALES DE ‘EL NEGRO’
Según anunció la Academia de Hollywood, González Iñárritu figura en la lista de candidatos a la Mejor Película como productor de Birdman, la categoría reina donde se las verá con American Sniper, Boyhood, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Selma, The Theory Of Everything yWhiplash.
El cineasta mexicano comparte ese reconocimiento como productor con sus colegas John Lesher y James W. Skotchdopole.
En el campo de dirección, sus rivales son Richard Linklater (Boyhood),Bennett Miller (Foxcatcher), Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel) y Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game).
Finalmente, en la contienda por el Mejor Guión figuran Richard Linklater (Boyhood), E. Max Frye y Dan Futterman (Foxcatcher), Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel) y Dan Gilroy (Nightcrawler).
¡BIIIIIIIIIRDMAN!
Michael Keaton (Birdman) competirá al Mejor Actor junto con Eddie Redmayne (The Theory Of Everything), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), Steve Carell (Foxcatcher) y Bradley Cooper (American Sniper).
Por su parte, Edward Norton (Birdman) tendrá como rivales en Mejor Actor de Reparto a Robert Duvall (The Judge), Ethan Hawke (Boyhood), Mark Ruffalo (Foxcatcher) y J.K. Simmons (Whiplash).
Se trata de la tercera candidatura al Oscar para Norton, tras Primal Fear(1996) y American History X (1998).
Por su parte, Emma Stone (Birdman) luchará por ser la Mejor Actriz de Reparto junto con Patricia Arquette (Boyhood), Laura Dern (Wild), Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game) y Meryl Streep (Into The Woods).
Es la primera nominación al Oscar para Stone, de 26 años. Streep, en cambio, aumenta su diferencia como la actriz con el mayor número de candidaturas en la historia, ahora con 19.
EL AÑO DEL CHIVO
En el rubro de Mejor Fotografía, Emmanuel Lubezki (Birdman) aparece postulado junto con Robert Yeoman (The Grand Budapest Hotel); Lukasz Zal y Ryszard Lenczewski (Ida), Dick Pope (Mr. Turner) y Roger Deakins(Unbroken).
Lubezki, de conseguirlo, seguirá haciendo historia como el mexicano con mayor número de nominaciones a la más importante estatuilla en Hollywood.
El Chivo, como lo llaman sus amigos, ganó este año el Oscar, y con ésta ha sido nominado en total en siete ocasiones, lo que ningún otro mexicano ha conseguido.
Lubezki ganó su primer Oscar de seis nominaciones en su carrera por su trabajo en Gravity.
OTRA MEXICANA Y UNA ARGENTINA
La cinta mexicana La Parka resultó nominada en la categoría de Mejor Cortometraje Documental.
La película argentina Relatos Salvajes fue nominada al Mejor Filme de Habla No Inglesa, categoría que disputará con Ida (Polonia), Leviathan (Rusia), Tangerines (Estonia) y Timbuktu (Mauritania), una categoría de la que se quedó fuera la venezolana Libertador.
Desde el Teatro Samuel Goldwyn de Los Ángeles, los directores Alfonso Cuarón y J.J. Abrams, junto con el actor Chris Pine y la presidenta de la Academia, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, se encargaron de desvelar hoy, en una ceremonia que Excélsior TV transmitió en directo, a los candidatos para llevarse una estatuilla el próximo 22 de febrero.
